Had a good day in Sterling, hung out a lot in the coffee shop, then when they stopped refilling g our coffee, we hung out in the library. Ate at the local dairy barn, who's milkshakes were basically soft serve ice-cream. It was a bit of a mistake to drink/eat that before eating a proper meal!
The ride was really easy, we'd done our 54 miles before 10.30am, and we're mostly rolling along at 15 mph. The tail wind really helped! We were considering going further, but we ride into this storm, which was thunder and lightning. Not a good idea to be riding around in Kansas in a lightning storm so we reluctantly stopped for the day, at a cafe, eating second breakfast.
