Legs felt dead today after the two local get previous days, so only a shortish ride today. I had a leisurely morning as I wanted to use the computers in the local library which didn't open until 10am.
This is where I'm staying tonight, the Palmyra Methodist Church. George, who I think say responsible for getting the church onto the AC maps couldn't have been more helpful, even letting myself and another cyclist use the shower at his own home and driving us to the supermarket.
George in the middle and Ed on the right. Ed is from the Philippines and this is his first cycle tour, pretty ambitious for a first attempt. He's already sent 3 packages of stuff home as they weigh too much and is considering buying all new low weight gear in the next big town, Charlottesville. I think he's struggling as he's only doing 20 to 30 miles a day. I hope he makes it over the Appalachians which are coming up in the 60 miles! I hope I do too, feeling quite intimidated looking at the elevation profile!
I'm travelling right to left, guess where I'll be in a day or two time!
