Had a nice trip into London to get my American visa today. The interveiwing lady at the first window seemed confused why I didn't just go on the visa waiver program, I think she got it in the end though. It was a bit nerve wracking waiting for the interveiw, especially when they went straight past my ticket number without calling me through. In the end though it was straight forward and they didn't even want to see all the paperwork I'd gone to great lengths to collect!
As I now have the nod on the visa, I went ahead and bought the maps that I need, but I think I'll wait till I have the actual peice of paper in my hand before booking flights. The maps day they may take up to 2 months to arrive so I am cutting it a bit fine anyway for delivery.
