The biggest issue was one of the bolts that holds my saddle on snapped, in a small town that has no bike shop and no hardware shop. Oh dear would be an understatement. Eventually I was told by the motorcycle shop that there was a Lowes (very much like a big B&Q) but it was up a huge, very steep hill. So, I started pushing. Thankfully when I got there, the guys were awesome. They even said if they couldn't get the right bolt, they'd machine something, they'd get me back on the road. So, after a bit of searching for a bolt, they got me back on the road (with spares as well)
After all the time spent sorting out my bike, I didn't realise I was low on water until halfway up a big hill. The map said no services for 12 hilly miles so I knew I was going to be in problems. Big thanks to these guys
They day ended well though. Made it to camp and Jeff bought a huge tub of ice cream and chocolate syrup for everyone!
