Absolutely gorgeous day, stunning scenery and easy riding.
Rode past an RV parked up at the side of the reservoir and heard a load of shouting, so stopped to see what was going on. Zeke, Bob and rest of crew were trying to flag me down to see if I wanted lunch or a drink. There are 3 of them riding with one driving the RV so they're on fancy road bikes. I took them up on their offer and had a break chatting with them. The next stretch was 8 miles through roadworks. I got through fairly quickly but they got held up,so the RV was like my personal pit stop.
They were staying in Kremmling, so I was surprised to see them driving past on their way to the springs. I decided to join them for a soak. When I got back to my campsite, i'd been invaded! Set up around my tent were 6 more, all eastbound TransAm cyclists. There were no spare pitches at the free city campground, so seeing my stuff they decided to join me.
