We were all up early and on the bikes for 7.15am to try and beat the heat. We decided to take the Mississipi levee alternative route to get some respite from the rolling hills. It was a really great route!
We saw some massive snapping turtles that Jim told us not to go near then proceeded to poke at with his finger until it hissed.
The route into Chester wasn't great with huge coal trucks hurtling past. There was a truck bypass but none of them seemed to take it and we found out later that it was actually a really nice Road with no traffic in it and we could have used that to get into town.

Camping out at the back of the local drinking club, of which we're allowed to be honorary members of for the night. Beers in the evening, yes!
